Nomads awarded England Hockey Clubs 1st Accreditation!

Following the visit of an independent Nominated Officer, and subsequent verification of the club assessment file, Cambridge Nomads Hockey Club has been recognised as working towards providing a Safe, Effective and Child Friendly club environment, and as such has been awarded the England Hockey Clubs 1st Accreditation.
Nomads' will shortly be receiving a confirmation letter and certificate by post and our details will also be forwarded to Sport England who will award us a Clubmark accreditation. Clubmark is the generic award for 32 sports and is a nationally recognised accreditation.
Richard Lloyd, Nomads' Chairman, said "I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been involved in putting together the documentation - the feedback I have received from all the assessors has been incredibly positive.". He added, "We are the first club in the county to receive this accreditation, largely because of the time we have been prepared to commit as a group this year to making it happen. Well done all. This is a fantastic way to finish the season.".
Created in 2003, England Hockey is the National Governing Body for hockey in England and is working towards creating a public profile that reflects this status and the scale of its investment in hockey.

On behalf of England Hockey I would like to thank you for your club's dedication in this area. Congratulations and well done to everyone for all their hard work in submitting the application.".
